Manipur is a state in the north-eastern region of India. One of the Seven Sisters States, it borders Nagaland to the north, Myanmar to the east, Mizoram to the south and Assam to the west.
The 2011 census records a population of 2.7 million. The state capital and largest city is Imphal.
Education in Manipur
Manipur University is located in Canchipur. The former Jawaharlal Nehru University Post-Graduate Centre was merged with the University on April 1, 1981.
