The Hamilton County Virtual School (HCVS) is a virtual K-12 provider located in the US state of Tennessee. It is a service of the Hamilton County Department of Education and works in partnership with Hamilton County schools. Grades are reported to schools who are then responsible for assigning credit. Most schools that participate in the HCVS programme have a single on-site facilitator. HCVS does not in itself award degrees.
Students may take CompassLearning Odyssey or e2020 courses. Courses can be taken for credit recovery, acceleration, scheduling flexibility, homebound or homeschool instruction. HCVS serves K-8 students in core courses (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies) and 9-12 students in all core and many elective courses.
