Students may study either part-time or full-time; in the former case they are enrolled at a traditional school. There were 387 students enrolled in 2007.

It offers elementary, middle school and high school programmes; parents are asked to serve as mentors to encourage their students to work but are not required to do any teaching or grading. 			Learning is delivered through the [[Blackboard]] learning system. Most of the curriculum is written by DCS teachers based on their prior experiences with teaching the courses. A few courses are based on textbooks (middle school Language Arts, high school Chemistry) and the foreign language courses use an online textbook.
